Punjabi families settled in East Africa for generations, and the food that came back is its own tradition — Punjabi technique with East African ingredients and names. That is what this kitchen cooks. You will see Swahili on the menu next to the Punjabi, and dishes that exist nowhere else on our menus.
Kuku is Swahili for chicken. Machuzi Kuku is cooked on the bone in a rich, aromatic sauce — the everyday chicken curry of Kenyan Punjabi households. Masaledaar Kuku takes the same chicken and cooks it dry instead, so the spices coat it rather than surround it. Order the first with rice and the second with bread.
Tilapia is the fish of Lake Victoria, and it is what a Kenyan Punjabi kitchen fries and braises. We cook the fillet in a masala flavoured with roasted spice. It is firmer and sweeter than the white fish most Indian menus use.
Spring lamb chops, cooked gently with onions and tomatoes until they give. It is a slower, softer dish than a tandoori chop, and it is one of the things people who grew up with this food order first.
Each item on our menu is coded for milk, gluten, soya, nuts, sulphites and crustaceans. If you are ordering around an allergy you can see what is in a dish before you order it, rather than having to ask.
We cook in our own kitchen and deliver across Greenford, Hayes, Northolt, Hanwell and Ealing, Wednesday to Monday from 6pm until 10:30pm. We are closed on Tuesdays. Halal options are available — ask when you order.

Kenyan Indian, or East African Punjabi, food comes from Punjabi families who settled in East Africa. It keeps Punjabi cooking technique but takes in local ingredients and Swahili names — tilapia from Lake Victoria, and dishes like machuzi kuku and boozi bafu that do not appear on standard Indian menus.
Kuku is Swahili for chicken and machuzi means sauce or stew. It is chicken cooked on the bone in a rich aromatic curry, and it is the everyday chicken dish of Kenyan Punjabi cooking.
Boozi bafu is lamb chops on the bone, cooked slowly with onions and tomatoes rather than grilled. The meat is softer and the sauce clings to it.
Tilapia, the fresh-water fish from Kenya's Lake Victoria. It is firmer than most white fish, so it holds together in a masala.
We deliver Wednesday to Monday, from 6pm until 10:30pm. We are closed on Tuesdays.
The minimum order is £20. Delivery fee is £2.
