Biryani is the dish we sell most of, by a distance. All four of our best-selling items are biryani, and that's not an accident — it's cooked in layers to order, not scooped from a tray that's been sitting all evening.

Chicken, lamb, chicken tikka and lamb tikka, plus prawn and vegetable versions. Served properly, with the rice separate rather than stirred through.

The rest of the menu is a full traditional Indian list — Chef's Specialities including lamb tikka pasanda, GBC Specialities with butter chicken and balti, madras, vindaloo, korma and kashmir, tandoori lamb chops and half tandoori chicken from the clay oven, garlic king prawns and chicken pakora to start.

Chicken nuggets, chips and potato wedges, on the same order as everything else. It's a small thing, but it's the difference between ordering Indian tonight and not bothering because one child won't eat curry.
